How to Care for Wool Sweaters
Things You Need:
* Garment brush
* Stain remover
* Poster board
* Mild detergent
* Cotton cloths
* Clean towel
People have worn wool for thousands of years, especially in women’s sweaters. Numerous types of wool exist, so there are many different ways to care for the fabric. In general, wool is meant to be dry cleaned. However, in many cases it can also be hand washed. Brushing, stain removal and proper storage are also important aspects of wool sweater care.
Wool Sweater Care:
1. Remove soil and dirt from wool sweaters by brushing with a garment brush. Move the brush lengthwise along the sweater before and after each use for best results. Use a damp cotton cloth instead of a brush for men’s wool sweaters and women’s wool sweaters with a finer nap.
2. Treat stains on wool sweaters immediately to prevent setting. Blot as much of the stain as possible from the sweater using a clean cotton cloth. Do not rub, as this can force the stain farther into the fabric. Use a laundry stain remover formulated for use on wool according to the manufacturer’s instructions, or take the garment to a dry cleaner as soon as possible.
3. Make a stencil of the sweater’s original shape. Lay the sweater on a large piece of poster board and trace its shape before washing. When washed, wool loses its shape and must be reshaped while drying. A stencil will help you reshape the sweater correctly and prevent it from drying in the wrong shape.
4. Use a mild detergent to wash wool. Fill a sink or small bucket with warm water and add one or two tablespoons of detergent formulated for use on wool. Place the sweater into the water and gently squeeze with your hands for about three minutes. Do not wring or agitate the sweater but allow the detergent and water to penetrate its fibers.
5. Rinse the sweater thoroughly with cool water to remove all the detergent. Gently squeeze with your hands to remove any excess water and then place the sweater on a clean towel. Roll up the sweater in the towel to absorb any water.
6. Place the sweater on the stencil you created earlier. Pat the garment out to its correct shape and allow it to air dry. Never hang wool sweaters to dry or place them in direct sunlight. If you’re having trouble getting a sweater dry, aim a small fan toward it to expedite the process.
7. Brush sweaters thoroughly after washing and drying. Store in an airtight bag or container in a cool, dry place. You may also hang wool sweaters on padded hangers in zip-up garment bags, if necessary.
Tips and Warnings:
1.Wrapping paper or any other large piece of paper may be used to trace the shape of the wool sweater if poster board is not available.
2. Wash wool sweaters by hand once per season or whenever necessary.
3. Always check the label on wool garments before washing. If the label says “dry clean only,” do not attempt to wash by hand. You risk losing color, shape and texture if the garment has not been treated for washing. Take it to the dry cleaner once or twice a year, or any time it becomes soiled, to preserve the integrity of the garment.
4. Never wash wool sweaters in hot water, and never put them in a washing machine or dryer. Hang only on padded hangers. They retain their shape best if folded.

Tips on Buying a Pea Coat
When you want stylish women's coats that won't have you looking like the Abominable Snowman all winter long, try a women's pea coat on for size. These versatile ladies' coats come in many different colors and fabrics, and many pea coats also feature fun details, such as toggles, cargo pockets, wrap belts and oversized buttons. Read on for tips on buying a pea coat this season.
Buying a Pea Coat:
1. Choose a fabric. A women's pea coat is often made of wool, but you can find these ladies' coats in polyester, cashmere and cotton, depending on how heavy you'd like your winter coats to be. Purchase lighter coats made of corduroy or flannel for a great fit you can wear in autumn and look for coats for women lined with fleece or thick wool for wintertime.
2. Find the right fit. Most pea coats hit at about the hip, but some women's coats come in cropped styles that fall to the natural waistline or extend to about mid-thigh. If you live in an area with extreme temperatures, you may want to look for women's winter coats that cover your bottom and are a bit longer than traditional pea coats. Make sure the women's outerwear you purchase is also flattering on your figure. If you're curvy, you may want to buy coats that include a belt to define your waist. Double-breasted women's winter coats can fill out a narrow frame.
3. Pick a great style. The classic single-breasted pea coat has been a favorite for decades, but you can mix things up a bit with the following stylish coats for women. Buy a hooded pea coat to protect yourself from frigid temperatures and snow storms. Look for winter coats with funnel necks and pleated hems for an ultra-trendy look. Don't forget to buy a belted pea coat that also includes buttoned pockets and a stylish high collar.
4. Select the perfect color. Find women's outerwear in bold colors, such as cherry red or royal blue, to make a statement wherever you go or buy a hooded pea coat in black, grey, white or brown to complement your wardrobe. If you want a unique pea coat, purchase one in a traditional plaid pattern or look for a coat in tweed or houndstooth.

So I'm feeling like I Need a Break...
Today is one of those days where I wish I could be in my pajamas all day long. I
want to be curled up with a blanket and watch movies all day in my pajamas. Ladies, I know there are days when you want to do the same. Hair is thrown up in a ponytail and the day is just a chill day... Well this is what I am wanting to do.. This pajama set looks really cozy!
Now here is another pajama set that I think looks comfortable as well as practical. I am a huge fan of wearing tanks to bed so I thought I would be bold and change up the color a little. As, I have stated before I am not a big fan of the color red, but for some reason I am being drawn to this color.
This third pajama set is more my style for bed. I thought this was pretty cute and wanted to share it with you as well. Enjoy my list of pajamas and the thought of just staying at home and relaxing!

How to Wear Heels without Pain
or many women, heels present a conundrum: fashion or comfort? Although high heels are undeniably stylish and add flair to countless outfits, they can cause pain and possible injury. Take time when buying high heels and search for quality shoes. When wearing your heels choose your steps carefully and take care to treat your feet well.
Painlessly Wearing Heels:
1. Buy quality shoes. Cheap heels can be excruciating; when it comes to shoes, it always pays to invest in quality construction and materials. Look for a pair on which the heel is solidly attached to the center of the shoe backing. No matter the height, a well-made pair of heels should be stable. Consider also the quality of materials and look at the seams to be sure that they will not weaken. When in doubt, opt for established brands, so you can be certain that you are getting quality shoes.
2. Choose heels you will be able to walk in. Be realistic about your level of comfort while wearing heels. Look for shoes in which you will be able to navigate sidewalk cracks, potholes and bumps. Will you be able to jump over a puddle without twisting your ankle in platform heels? If you have weak ankles, look for lower heels to avoid injury. Likewise, if you are new to heels or notoriously clumsy, choose lower or thicker heels until you can gauge your ability to walk in different styles. Avoid stiletto heels until you are comfortable wearing smaller heels. And once you have the heels, practice walking around in them at home, up and down stairs, and for short distances.
3. Take a load off. To save your feet, remove them slightly from your heels when sitting down. Be careful not to take them off completely, or your feet can swell and cause you even more pain. Instead, slide your heel up and the ball of your foot back just enough to take off the pressure. This will provide some relief without allowing room for swelling. If you are sitting behind a desk or in an audience, this can be done unobtrusively. If you are sitting in front of people, bend your knees and cross your legs at the ankle before sliding your feet out of the heels.
4.Buy gel insoles. Anticipating the need for comfortable heels, manufacturers of gel insoles have begun making products that fit heels. These insoles are narrower and shorter than those for other shoes, allowing them to be applied to the inside of heels without sticking out at the sides or either end. They generally use a mild adhesive to stick to the shoe and provide extra comfort and cushioning to protect your feet. Such insoles can be purchased for pumps or sandal-style heels
5. Try to walk less. When wearing platform heels or stiletto heels, the easiest option to save your feet from pain is to walk as little as possible. Take taxis, park closer to your office and sit as often as possible. If you preserve your feet for the times you really need to walk, you will appear more poised and graceful; there is nothing graceful about limping from heel pain. For times when you can't avoid extensive walking, carry moleskin with an adhesive side and apply it to the inside of your shoes on areas that rub. This will prevent blisters and increase the comfort of your heels. You might also consider bringing a pair of flats or flip-flops to relieve your feet at the end of a day or during downtime.

Top 5 Women's Skirts
No matter which season it is, you need skirts as versatile wardrobe options you can turn to again and again. But which women's skirts will look best on your figure and work for many different occasions? This guide lists the top 5 women's skirts you should have in your closet for every event you attend.
Best Women's Skirts:
1. A-line skirt. Named for its slight resemblance to a capital A, the A-line skirt is universally flattering because it flares from the waist and camouflages a curvy stomach, legs and hips. Buy an A-line skirt made of cotton or linen for a great summer skirt and a classic plaid flared skirt made of wool or flannel to wear when the weather gets chilly. You're not limited to the traditional A-line shape, either. A high-waisted full skirt that flares slightly to the knees will give you a pretty vintage silhouette, while a flared skirt made of toile or a crisp taffeta is still flattering and offers a dressier look.
2. Long skirt. These skirts range in length and style, but a long skirt is a wardrobe staple because of its versatility. Look for light cotton prairie skirts with ruffled tiers for an easy-to-wear style during spring and summer or buy a long skirt made of lace panels that hits at about mid-calf for a dressier look. When you want a long skirt that's more appropriate for work, especially during cooler weather, look for straight skirts made of suede or wool you can pair with boots and tights.
3. Pencil skirt. For the office or a dressy event, a pencil skirt is a necessity. This style emphasizes the hips and bottom, as it hugs the body snugly from the waist down, and it looks great with a tucked-in button-up or dressy blouse. Buy a pencil skirt made of stretchy black fabric for a comfortable, classic look or add variety to your wardrobe with a brown satin skirt. Bow-tie waistbands and wide bands can add variety to the skirt as well.
4. Denim skirt. When you want a comfortable short skirt you can wear with simple tees and sandals around town, a denim skirt is a great option. Pick a length you are comfortable with, such as a fit that grazes the knees, hits mid-calf or falls a few inches above the knee, and then find a wash and color you like. A denim skirt in a dark indigo wash is especially flattering with heels and a ruffled blouse, while a short skirt made of distressed denim in a light wash is perfect with retro sneakers, a vintage shirt and colorful jewelry for a casual day of shopping.
5. Pleated skirt. If you want a traditional skirt you can wear to work, to church meetings and even to a formal occasion like a wedding, buy a pleated skirt made of linen or satin. For a prep-school look, purchase a full skirt in a plaid pattern with wide pleats that falls to the knees or just above them; add black peep-toe heels and a crisp white button-up for a classic '50s look. A pleated skirt made of silk or delicate chiffon is always lovely with a fitted blouse for a dressy night out.

FAQs about Children's Clothing
Whether you need new children's clothing for the school year or durable kids' clothes as your sons and daughters continue to grow, you probably have a few concerns about purchasing children's clothes that will fit well and last. Fortunately, this guide provides you with tips on purchasing children's clothing, including baby clothes and toddler clothes, and getting the right fits online. Read on for answers to your frequently asked questions about children's clothes.
Buying Children's Clothing:
1.How can I get the most use out of my child's clothing?
Follow the care instructions on the tag. Most children's clothing should be machine-washable and have no problems in a dryer. Look at descriptions of kids' clothes online for basic care requirements so you know beforehand what you're getting. Make sure you also buy clothing, especially toddler clothes, in colors and patterns your kids will like so that they'll wear them frequently before they outgrow them. When you purchase girls' dresses and other dressy girls' clothing or boys' clothing, look for styles with extendable hems or waistbands so you can adjust the clothes as your children grow older.
2. Are there any types of baby clothes I should avoid to protect my baby?
Newborns have weak necks, so you should avoid pullover newborn clothing or be sure the neck isn't too tight -- snaps along one shoulder are the simplest solution to this problem. Baby clothes with ties and strings should also be avoided, especially as your baby gets older and likes to grab objects. Also, look for newborn clothing with wide necks and front closures so you can easily dress and undress your little one.
3. How can I make sure the clothes I purchase online will fit?
Measure your children before you buy girls' clothing and boys' clothing, and then refer to this children's sizing guide. Also, check out your kids' closets and look at the sizes and styles that fit them well. You'll know which clothes will work best.

Who Would Have Thought! I knew there was a reason I have always wanted to go there!
Australian fashion reflects a vibrant, creative nation, rich in colour and fresh, exuberant style. The three main settings of Australian life—the bush, the cities and the beaches—and the country’s principally hot and dry climate have influenced who Australians are and therefore what they wear. Australian fashion labels are now sought after around the world.
Australia’s fashion industry has grown around the relaxed, casual demeanour of the people it designs for, as well as their love of outdoors living. But it also reflects the sophisticated, cosmopolitan and multicultural nature of Australian society. Most Australians are comfortable in T-shirts and foot thongs (flip-flops) one minute and appreciative of innovative high fashion the next. The bold colours of sunny Australian beaches and the starkly contrasting hues of the country’s central desert landscapes are captured in Australia’s fashion palette. And the rigours of the elements in which Australians live have often determined the choice of cloth used by designers. Colour and fabric have contributed greatly to an Australian sense of fashion, in cut and garment types.
Beachwear
Australia has a long history of world-renowned swimwear manufacture. In 1928, Speedo swimwear was launched by Alexander MacRae in Sydney and the brand became world famous after Australians wore it in the 1932 Los Angeles Olympics. Australia now boasts top-of-the-line swim- and surf-wear brands such as Roxy, Billabong, Rip Curl and Seafolly.
In the bush
One-third of Australia’s population live in the country—known as ‘the outback’ and ‘the bush’—in farming and rural communities. Australian companies, such as Driza-Bone, Blundstone, RM Williams, Akubra, Di CROCO and Genuine Australian Bushwear, have developed high-quality fashion to suit this lifestyle and to withstand the harshness of the bush environment.
The Driza-Bone (‘dry as a bone’) coat is to Australians what the Burberry trench coat is to the English: a symbol of heritage, values and culture. The coat is the traditional Australian stockman’s oilskin riding coat. The Akubra hat, too, is an Australian icon, famous for its quality and style developed over 100 years of production.
Such is the iconic status of both the oilskin riding coat and bush hats that the Sydney Olympics 2000 opening ceremony included 120 stock horse riders in this attire, and the ceremony’s 2000-piece marching band also wore the Driza-Bone and Akubra uniform. The Driza-Bone was made the official outfit for the 2007 Asia–Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) leaders’ meeting in Sydney and visiting heads of government were also given an Akubra hat.
Urban wear and high fashion
The urban streetwear and haute couture components of Australia’s fashion industry are also thriving. A new generation of streetwear designers takes its inspiration from Australia’s surf culture, graffiti and art and has created its own unique style.
Dynamic new labels include Ksubi, based near Sydney’s Bondi Beach; Sass & Bide, which has a cult following among the younger Hollywood set; and Willow, a lingerie line.
Inspired by an extraordinary range of Australian fashion textiles and cultural influences, many Australian designers have received international attention in recent years. Australian fashion creations, such as those by Wayne Cooper, Carla Zampatti, Easton Pearson, Nicola Finetti, Bettina Liano, Martin Grant, Michelle Jank and Lisa Ho, are in worldwide demand.
Internationally acclaimed Sydney designer Akira Isogawa, whose work is known for its impressive cross-cultural fusion, was honoured with the inaugural Australian Fashion Laureate award in 2007, the industry’s newest and highest honour. The award pays homage to outstanding creative or intellectual achievement in the Australian fashion industry.
Collette Dinnigan was the first Australian to mount a full-scale ready-to-wear parade in Paris (in 1995), at the invitation of France’s Chambre Syndicale du prêt-à -porter des couturiers et créateurs de mode. Dinnigan, a regular on the international circuit since the 1990s, and with high-profile fans including Naomi Watts, Sarah O’Hare, Helena Christensen and Charlize Theron, received the Most Beautiful Exports Award in 2000, 2001 and 2004. She was chosen as Australian ‘Designer of the Year’ in 1996. In March 2005 she was voted ‘Best Australian Designer’ by the readers of In Style magazine. Both Isogawa and Dinnigan regularly show their bold and playful collections at Paris Fashion Week.
Indigenous influence
In the 1980s, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander textiles emerged as a key influence on non-Indigenous designers. Darwin’s Tiwi Centre, an arts centre dedicated to the preservation of Indigenous Tiwi arts and crafts, has played a significant role in the commercial application of Indigenous textile designs to Australian high fashion. For the first Tiwi Designs exhibition in Sydney in 1983, six major fashion designers, including Jenny Kee, Linda Jackson, Katie Pye and Robert Burton, selected fabric for the Tiwi people to print, and used the results in their garments. Since then designers such as Collette Dinnigan, Peter Morrissey and Perth’s Rebecca Paterson have made extensive use of Indigenous design in their work. Morrissey, for example, used a design by Aboriginal artist Jacinta Numina Waugh on garments commissioned for the Opening Ceremony of the 2000 Olympic Games.
Hot on the calendar
Melbourne lays claim to being Australia’s fashion capital, hosting the L’Oréal Fashion Festival every March. The festival offers fashion lovers a choice of catwalk shows, parties, product launches, exhibitions and industry events that capture the glamour and creativity of Australian fashion.
Australia also hosts the biannual Rosemount Australian Fashion Week. Previously staged in Melbourne, the event was moved to Sydney’s Circular Quay in 2007. It showcases more than 150 designers’ spring/summer collections in May and their autumn/winter collections in October.
Rosemount Australian Fashion Week is an exclusive, industry-only event, made accessible to registered buyers, agents, media, stylists and other industry representatives. It features ready-to-wear, street wear, swimwear, men’s and women’s apparel, intimate apparel, footwear and children’s wear. A selection of Australia’s and the Asia–Pacific’s best designers present their collections to some of the world’s most significant buyers, media and industry influencers.
An international success story
Australian designers are now influencing what others around the world will wear. Major fashion capitals, such as London, are actively seeking out creative Australian designs. The success of Australia’s innovative fashion is continuing to translate into a higher demand from international audiences. Australian designs are exported to many countries, with the most popular international markets being France, Japan, the United Kingdom, the United States, Dubai and Kuwait.
As fashion has become such a successful export market for Australia, commensurate growth has occurred in employment opportunities in the fashion manufacturing industry and other fashion-oriented careers such as fashion journalism, fashion styling, make-up and hair styling, fashion photography and modelling. Tertiary education institutions have developed high quality fashion and textile courses to ensure the industry is serviced with well-trained staff.
Australia has developed an international reputation for producing some of the emerging stars of the fashion world, from designers to models. Supermodels such as Elle McPherson (now with her own high-end lingerie line), Miranda Kerr, Gemma Ward and Megan Gale have reinforced Australia’s image as a modern, fun and fresh culture.
Note: Unless otherwise stated, all dollar amounts are in Australian dollars.

Tips on Buying Men's Shirts
Whether you're looking for stylish men's dress shirts for the office or men's polo shirts for a casual weekend with friends, you need shirts that fit you well and also fit your personal style. Read on for tips on buying men's shirts for every occasion.
Buying Men's Shirts:
1. Buy polo shirts for casual wear. While they are traditionally worn for golf and tennis, men's polo shirts are comfortable and versatile enough to wear with jeans or shorts for attending a sporting event, hanging out at home or going out to dinner with family. For a good fit, buy shirts that are loose enough in the sleeves and chest area so you can stretch and breathe easily. Striped polos are traditional and will give you a sporty look, but solid polos are also classic men's casual shirts and look great paired with a comfortable hoodie or blazer for extra warmth. Find men's shirts in flattering colors, such as navy blue, red and hunter green, for shirts that go well with everything.
2. Stock up on quality dress shirts for work. If shirt-and-tie is the required dress for your office, a good collection of men's dress shirts is important. Since you'll be wearing men's white shirts most of the week for at least eight hours a day, purchase shirts that fit loosely in the neck area, armpits, chest and wrists. Make sure you can comfortably wear a tie and suit jacket over men's white shirts and look for colored and striped styles to dress up a bland wardrobe. For extra comfort at work, look for men's cotton shirts with stiff collars and cuffs. Wrinkle-resistant men's cotton shirts are also a good bet for the office.
3. Purchase T-shirts for everyday wear. White and solid-colored men's T-shirts are perfect for lounging at home, working outside or going to a game or concert with friends. Find fitted men's T-shirts you can layer beneath button-ups or sweaters for a crisp look. Look for looser men's casual shirts you can pair with jeans, twill pants and sneakers. Men's short-sleeve shirts are also great for layering under blazers or hoodies for chilly days or nights. Look for vintage men's short-sleeve shirts with your favorite band on them to pair with classic jeans and an athletic jacket for a laid-back look.

Best Women's Boot Styles for Evening
You've probably heard the phrase, "If the boot fits, wear it." But with so many styles of women's boots available, shopping for them can get a little frustrating. Whether the women's boots are for a night on the town with friends, a work-related gathering or just something to show off during dinner with the family, these choices are sure to add elegance and variety to your wardrobe.
Best Women's Boots
1. Stiletto boots. Well-known for the sexy, skinny heel, stiletto boots are a great way to dress up a skirt and add attractive length to your legs. Stiletto boots are available in either a rounded or pointed toe, and they come in a variety of materials. Slouchy stilettos are another option that works well for the evening, especially paired with a pencil skirt. Black boots are classic, but brown boots also work well for fall or with warmer outfits.
2. Ankle boots. Ankle boots can be fun and chic, and they are best when paired with long jeans and a dressy top because of their shorter length or with a short skirt. The newest trend in ankle boots is added zippers and buckles. These embellishments will make you stand out. Use them to showcase your individuality.
3. Cut-out booties. These boots are similar to ankle boots in height but feature straps, cut-out circles or laces as well as a peep-toe design. Pair cut-out booties with either fitted boot-cut or skinny jeans and a fancy top or vest for a pretty evening look.
4. Knee-high boots. These versatile boots can be worn with a dress, skirt and even over or under your favorite jeans. Knee-high boots come in lots of different colors and materials, including leather. Slouchy knee-high boots also look great with skinny jeans tucked into them, especially suede boots. The style of this type of boot is already playful, so why not take advantage of it and go with a bold color?
5. Wedge boots. Wedge boots offer a bit of height without the lack of comfort that sometimes comes with stilettos. The boots come in many colors and materials, including leather and suede, and adornments, such as studs and buckles, add interest. Try pairing wedge boots with skinny jeans or a long bohemian skirt.
6. Riding boots. These boots were made for walking, not just riding, with their flat soles and wider legs. You can find riding boots in glossy vinyl, leather and soft suede, depending on your style. Riding boots look best with skinny jeans or long skirts, but a coordinating knee-length skirt or knit dress would also look nice for the evening.

FAQS about Handbags
The search is always on for the perfect handbags that can carry all of your belongings and look great with a variety of outfits. Whether you've already found great designer handbags you love or you're still looking for a bag that suits your style, you probably have a few concerns about caring for your new purse and complementing your wardrobe. Fortunately, we have the tips and information you need. Read on for answers to your frequently asked questions about handbags.
Questions about Handbags:
1.How should I care for my handbags?
Most handbags can't go into the washer, so prevent stains and dirt as much as possible, especially when you have designer handbags. Handle your handbags with clean hands, and think about using darker-colored handbags when you go places where there's food or other things that may stain your leather handbags. If you take tote bags to the movies or to a restaurant, place them on chairs instead of on the floor. Keep items that could stain the interior of your hobo bags-- pens, makeup or snacks -- zipped into another small bag that you keep in your purse.
2.Many handbags can be spot-cleaned with a soft, damp cloth. Use leather cleaner on your leather handbags, but be sure to do a test patch in an inconspicuous area to check for color-fastness. For tricky spots or delicate fabrics, take your handbags to the dry cleaner. Store designer shoulder bags in the cloth dust bags they came with, in a pillowcase or in bubble wrap -- not tissue paper, which may attract moths. If there is a chain handle, then store it inside the handbag where it can't scratch the exterior. Unbuckle any buckles and loosen any straps on satchel bags or hobo bags to prevent marks from the metal.
3.Does my handbag need to match my other accessories?
If you like the classic look of matching your shoes and fashion handbags, then go for it! Matching your clutch bags, shoes and even your belt can be an easy way to look polished. Mismatched -- but coordinated -- accessories can look very modern, so if you like that style, then you can make it work. Many women find this look to be fresher and less fussy. When your accessories aren't matching, be sure to maintain a similar feeling; for example, try carrying tote bags with casual shoes but use clutch bags when you're wearing pretty pumps.
4.Which handbags do I need for my wardrobe?
Make sure you have a handbag that will suit everything you do and everywhere you go. You wouldn't want to carry big shoulder bags when you're wearing evening gowns, just as you wouldn't want to carry everything you need for work in little evening bags. The basics include large handbags, medium-sized everyday handbags, such as satchel bags, and evening bags. Then fill in the holes with the right fashion handbags based on what you do, where you go and what you wear.

Top 5 Sweater Dresses
You want to stay cozy during chilly seasons, and a stylish sweater dress is a chic way to look great while still keeping warm. With a simple knit sweater dress, classic turtleneck sweater dresses and other casual dresses, you'll be set for the fall, winter and even spring. Read on for the top five sweater dresses.
Top Sweater Dress Styles:
1. Mid-thigh. These short fall dresses are the perfect length for layering over opaque leggings or skinny jeans, because they allow you to show off trim legs. Wear mid-thigh casual dresses with cute ankle boots that match your jeans or leggings to make your legs look even longer. These fashion dresses are also complemented by belts slung low on the hips or at the natural waist.
2. Knee-length. For a look that is flattering on everyone, purchase sweater dresses that hit just above the knee or just below it. Tall riding boots look wonderful with winter dresses of this length, especially black fashion dresses, but you can also wear ankle boots or even peep-toe heels to elongate your legs. Don't just stick to boring knee-length winter dresses, either. You can easily spice things up with a wide corset belt and fun, chunky jewelry. Look for vintage dresses or vintage-inspired pieces you can wear with pearls for a classic look.
3. Turtleneck. To keep warm in the coldest weather, you'll want to try turtleneck sweater dresses. These classic fall dresses cover the neck and usually have long sleeves; they often hang to the knee or mid-calf. For a twist, you can look for a knit sweater dress that has short sleeves or cap sleeves and add cable-knit or patterned tights to add more texture. Vintage dresses with soft turtlenecks and long sleeves can also be dressed down with flats and colorful tights.
4. V-neck. Look for dresses with an unexpected neckline, such as a V-neck, for a more delicate outfit. Designer dresses made of smooth knit fabric with V-necks will allow you to show off pretty collarbones and add a simple necklace for elegance. V-neck designer dresses are also great options for curvier women, as they draw the eye upward toward the face.
5. Textured knit. If you want comfortable dresses that won't add bulk or be too heavy for a mild winter, purchase a sweater dress made of a flat knit fabric. Dresses made of cashmere will also give you a slim fit that's perfect for layering.

How to Choose Winter Coats for Kids
One of the reasons most kids love summer (other than the fact that there is no school, of course) is that they get to wear minimal clothing. For many kids, winter clothing is uncomfortable and confining, and winter coats, with their heft and bulk, are some of the worst offenders. Choosing winter coats for kids can be almost as difficult as getting your children to actually wear them. Make the process easier by looking for girls' outerwear and boys' outerwear with your children.
Choosing Winter Coats:
1. Determine your child's correct size. Do not be tempted to buy a size larger so your child can wear the coat again next year; kids grow at different rates. A coat that is too big can be uncomfortable to wear. The sleeves should cover the wrists, and the coat should be snug but not too tight. Your child should have enough room to wear a sweater and other winter clothing underneath.
2. Set a budget. Winter coats for kids come in a wide range of prices, depending on the fabric of the coat. Goose-down coats tend to be a bit more expensive, while lined jackets are simple and usually inexpensive. Setting a budget ahead of time means you won't be tempted to buy something out of your price range
3. Think about the climate. If your winters are rainy, look for waterproof coats that are long enough to cover your child's bottom. Hoods are a must for keeping rain out. If you live in an area where snow and ice are common in winter, look for coats with added insulation. Be sure that your child's coat will not become saturated quickly, especially if he or she likes to build snowmen and play in the snow.
4. Let your kids have a say on style. The more your child likes a coat, the more likely he or she will actually wear it. Girls' winter coats tend to come in feminine colors like pink and purple, and they often have rhinestones and hoods lined with faux fur for embellishment. Boys' winter coats are often designed for play, with lots of pockets and bright colors. If your child loves a coat that is also high-quality and a good price, you should get it -- even though you might not like the color or design. If you simply can't reach a compromise on appearance, try letting your child pick a hat, scarf or mittens in a color he or she likes.
5. Consider purchasing two coats. If your climate changes rapidly, your child might need one coat for fall and spring and a heavier coat for the winter. As an alternative, children's winter coats sometimes have liners that can be detached and worn alone during milder weather. Convertible winter coats are also available, some with removable hoods, too.

Best Women's Pants for the Weekend
After a week of wearing professional clothes for work, dressing casually and comfortably for the weekend just requires a few pairs of women's pants. This does not mean you have to skimp on style. Whether you want to have a dinner out with friends or simply need to run errands, there are plenty of comfortable wardrobe options that do not involve T-shirts and sweatpants. Stay stylish during the weekend by choosing women's pants that fit and pairing them with accessories, blouses and shoes you already own.
1. Wear khaki pants for almost every occasion. Khaki pants are perfect for weekend wear, especially if you want an alternative to jeans. Khaki pants are casual but still appear stylish and come in a variety of lengths. Cropped khaki pants hit at about mid-calf, and capris fall just below the knee. The most flattering style is straight-leg because it gives khakis the appearance of being well-fitted and works with any type of shoe.
2. Find the perfect pair of jeans. Jeans are the ultimate pants for the weekend. Comfortable and versatile, women's jeans come in a variety of washes and colors to go with anything in the wardrobe. Cuts like wide-leg, low-rise, boot-cut and straight-leg allow women of any size and body shape to find a pair of jeans that fit well. While women's jeans may be considered casual, pairing them with heels or wedge shoes and a loose-fitting blouse or sweater can create a more formal or put-together look. To keep jeans casual on the weekend, pair them with flats and a knitted top.
3. Stay comfortable in velour pants. If you prefer to lounge the weekend away or just run a few errands, velour pants are soft and can be worn year-round. Velour pants often come in sets with zip-up hoodies, giving you a simple option for weekend wear. These pants come in a variety of colors, often include pockets and offer a simple drawstring waistband for comfort. Velour pants are also great for working out, so you can easily wear them throughout the day before a trip to the gym or outdoor activity.

A Little Something for Teens....
So I wanted to share some items that I fell in love with, and would prefer our teenage girls to be wearing. LOL but do I know hahaha. So the cream colored sweater I thought was adorable for juniors clothing.
For a more casual look I liked this turquoise colored t-shirt.
The coral T-shirt is a nice color for teen girls. I also liked this t-shirt I think both would like nice with the juniors pants
These jeans would look pretty cute together. They are not the skinny jeans but I am a bigger fan of the flared jeans look. However, I am sure the teens will not agree with me! LOL!

Women's Shoes Buying Guide
Three women wearing cute and trendy shoes
Whether you love buying shoes or you wish you could always wear the same old pair, you may have some shoes in your closet that make you wonder, "What was I thinking when I bought those?" If you need some advice on how to buy shoes that you'll love wearing, this women's shoes buying guide is for you. With these tips on finding shoes online that will flatter you and fit your lifestyle, including the simplest flip-flops, the women's shoes in your closet will make you think, "How did I live without those?"
Women's Shoe Styles:
1. Boots: For the most flattering boots, make sure they don't cut off your leg at its thickest point. Most women's legs are narrowest right under the knees, and knee boots are generally very easy to wear. A boot with a bit of stretch can make heavy ankles and calves appear narrower:
2. Heels, pumps and wedges: Stiletto, peep-toe, open-toe, slingback and more: With so many styles of heels, there are many things to consider. Short women may want to avoid T-straps and ankle straps because they can visually cut off the leg and make it look shorter. However, an ankle strap can actually make thick ankles look narrower by adding coverage and definition. Thin heels are flattering. However, the thicker the heel, the more comfortable you'll be and the more businesslike your overall look will be. Ultra high heels (more than four inches) can actually make a short woman appear shorter because the calf muscles will flex too much. A tapered toe gives a slimming look overall, but women with large feet may want to avoid very pointy shoes. Pumps with oval-shaped toes or square toes are comfortable and will make larger feet appear smaller:
3. Flats: Flats are the perfect footwear with narrow pants or cropped pants, with short skirts or long skirts. If you want to wear them with mid-length skirts, choose flats with a slight lift in the heel:
4. Sandals: Sandals show more skin on your feet, making your legs look longer. For sandals with heels, follow the same suggestions for pumps and high heel shoes. For casual sandals, like flip-flops, you'll most likely want to consider whether or not the style will be comfortable:
5. Oxfords and loafers: The perfect shoes to wear with pants, oxfords and loafers both have a classic, menswear-inspired feeling. If your oxfords or loafers have heels, you can pair them with skirts as well:
6. Athletic and athletic-inspired shoes: Choosing the right shoes for your activity is the most important thing when it comes to athletic shoes. To avoid injuries, you'll want women's shoes meant for your sport; for example, if you are a runner, make sure to buy running shoes to ensure that that the insole will give your feet the support they need. For athletic-inspired shoes, you'll want to focus on whether or not the style will be comfortable for you and if it will go with your casual clothing:
Women's Shoes You Want:
1. Comfort: Choose heels that are two inches high or lower and opt for thick heels, like a stacked heel or a wedge heel. Natural materials breathe more than synthetics, and they are usually more flexible, too. If padding inside the shoe is important, you may want to buy a half size larger so you can add an insert, but be careful not to buy shoes that are too large -- they can be just as hard to walk in as shoes that are too small:
2. Classic: Classic black leather shoes are a wardrobe essential, but high heels in brown leather, black velvet or snakeskin are all considered classics. For a classic casual shoe, you can't go wrong with a retro-style sneaker, a leather clog or a T-strap flat sandal:
3. Latest and greatest: Shop for brand names and designer shoes to find the latest trends. Bright colors and bold patterns will ensure that your shoes look au courant:
Fitting Women's Shoes:
1. Measure your feet late in the day: They are a bit larger later in the evening, so you will ensure that your shoes will fit well. You should also wear the socks you plan to wear with your shoes:
2. Create your own measuring chart: Put a piece of paper on the floor; you can tape it in place if it slips. Have a friend trace your foot with a pen or pencil perpendicular to the floor. Measure the length of your foot in inches to the closest 16th of an inch. Then measure the width of your foot in inches. Repeat with the other foot and use whichever size is larger. Find your U.S. women's shoe size on these charts:

Best Cardigans and Twin Sets
Woman wearing red cardigan near playground
You want to look effortlessly chic at work and around town, so purchase cardigans and twin sets you can mix and match with everything. Whether you're updating your jeans with flowy women's cardigans, looking for fitted women's twin sets to dress up your pencil skirt for the office or just want soft women's sweaters to wear over T-shirts when you get chilly, you'll want to shop around for stylish women's cardigan sweaters this season. Read on for tips on finding the best women's cardigans and twin sets for your shape and your personal style.
Buying Cardigans and Twin Sets:
1. Go long. If you're average height or tall, long cardigans are the perfect accent to T-shirts, blouses and even tanks or sleeveless button-ups. Wear a navy blue cardigan over a crisp white button-up, fitted jeans and red flats for a classic nautical look or pair long cardigans with a wide belt and cropped skinny jeans for a trendier vibe. If you're petite and don't want long women's cardigan sweaters to overwhelm your frame, try a shorter version that hits at about the hip. Add a skinny belt to define your figure and wear heels so you look taller.
2. Short and sweet. Cropped cardigans look great over sheath dresses and sundresses, especially if you want a more polished look for the office or a friend's party. You can also dress up vintage T-shirts and distressed jeans with cardigan sweaters that hit at the natural waist; cropped cardigans in red, yellow or royal blue will add a pop of color to any outfit. The best cardigans are made of soft cotton or jersey fabrics to flatter your shoulders, bust and waistline.
3. Be open to suggestions. An open cardigan without buttons or snaps drapes nicely over your figure and looks great over jeans, trousers, leggings and even fitted skirts. To avoid looking shapeless, pair an open cardigan with skinny jeans and a simple tee or wear these women's sweaters with a knee-length pencil skirt that skims your curves.
4. Cash in on a great sweater. Splurge a little and purchase a soft women's cashmere cardigan to wear for many seasons. Usually fashioned in a traditional button-down style, a women's cashmere cardigan is a lovely addition to your wardrobe in ivory, black, camel, navy blue or brown. Purchase metallic women's twin sets to wear during the holiday season and to special events. For the best cardigans made of cashmere, especially if you want easy-care cardigan sweaters, look for cotton or linen blends.
